I have checked some more of the details using this site and looking at the transfer placed on the back of the chassis which is steel and not aluminium makes it birthdate in either 1934 or 1935

I've seen a model similar to this go for about $150 on Ebay about six months ago, though it was in poor condition. As this set is in good nick I would suggest it may fetch another $50 - $100, depending on how it was sold. Whilst many antique dealers are often the most willing to buy radios, they won't pay anywhere near as much as a private buyer because they need to profit from the experience rather than collect the set for their own museums.
I am guessing as to the age here but I think it is more likely to be a set between 1945 and 1950. The licence transfer doesn't contain a letter prefix and to be built in the 1930's, it more or less has to. The large oblong dial face is another clue as to age - most 1930's sets started with wedge-shaped dial openings, progressing to the crescent shape and then either a four or six inch round dial. An exception to the rule, and there always is one, were the Fisk Radiolettes which had rather small square dials.
As your set uses Octal valves you can assume it was built before 1950. So my prediction, without the benefit of a manual or other reference, is that this set is around 55 - 60 years old.
