Have just finished rejuvinating the bakelite case of my old radio gramaphone player.
Having tried Brasso I was not happy with the work involved.
I have used the water based "metal magic" cleaner that is sold by Supermarkets for cleaning things like your stainless steel kitchen sink. It is also suitable for Aluminium, Brass Silver etc. Bottle states: Restores & Protects against tarnish & corrosion, No harmful chemicals, All metal cleaner.
It is a fine white water based, tube squeezable, paste. Wonderful clean up with damp cloth, leaving a nice shine.

I have polished the case using bees wax which I dissolved in Spirit Turpentine (gum arabic, I think).

I am very very happy and it was very quick

Regards Barry
