I will show this circuit to our local small hobby group, one member, a guitarist, is a fan of "long-tailed-pair" phase inverters

QUOTE: "I definitely will try the Kriesler circuit.."

QUOTE: I want to build & test the Kriesler phase splitter circuit also.

Well silly me, I don't have to build Kriesler circuit as just found I already had two amp chassis that incorporate the Kriesler style splitter!
I will post a schematic of these in a new thread in Tech Talk called "Circuit Analysis: 1950s Philco Hi-Fi"

I did the simulations using a model of an Altronics 100v line PA transformer. Which one? I don't recall but I will check next time I'm in the office.

As I said but I need to emphasize, the big deal was the way it handled being overdriven. It should REALLY sound GREAT as a guitar amp!

Yes, I just tried it on my old laptop at home and it doesn't open for me either, it's looking for a model file.

I just extracted it from the email I sent to Brad and that file opens fine.

So I'll email it to you.

Thanks Ian, C

Circuit up and running. Will spend some time getting back up to speed with LTC Spice.

Can the valve characteristics be changed?? I can find the valve drawings (.asy files I think) ... but cannot find where I can change things ... like heater volts, electrode capacitances, conductance etc?? I am assuming that this can be done ... but haven't found the appropriate files.
..... ????
