Hello All,

Well here is something you rarely come across . Its a 1967 Irradiette made in Italy.
I picked this one up on a trip buying up collectables in Tasmania . I also picked up a 64 Thorn TV at the same house and it is probably my favourite TV in my collection.

These irradietta's are Rare to find in Australia as most of them are to be found in Europe.
Well as you can see it plays 45s singles and it can be moved about while playing or used in a car etc etc.

It's a cool fun thing and no need to worry about Tone Arm Tracking weight because they didn't even consider that in the design as it would be at least 20 grams plus !,,,,, As you can see by the Ad its called the Record Eater and believe me it eats them !
But what it lacks in Technology it certainly makes up for, In new Ideas and fun .
Which I guess would of been their target market being 60s teens. I've had a lot of people ask to buy it over the years as they are unique .

Battocchio was the designer and went on to make the first membrane Key boards , he was involved in Radio and Television during the 70s .

I have alot of this type of stuff from the 50s and 60s and years ago I had a 64 Chrysler and it had a record player in it that worked on the same principles, That being a spring loaded Tone Arm and a stronger motor.

Anyway there it is, something different and a bit of fun.

Pete,

And gosh ! Look at those fashionable ladies !
