This is probably html code 101, but you can shrink an image and preserve its aspect ration without having to calculate the height after specifying the new width. Example:

<img src="imagefilename.xxx" width="400px" height="auto">

You can pick whatever number for the width. And the browser will figure out what the height will be.

Posting photos here is never a drama to do really,, but over at Antique Radios its a nightmare, posts everywhere with people complaining and stuggling to do it.
Here's pretty good.
Photos make a forum ,because we all want to see each others projects.
All the best,,,pete

The height doesn't need to be declared as this site is (largely) HTML5-compliant. It is probably more correct to declare it but it will work without it. That said, I can understand why any sort of coding is alien to most people. Despite building this place and around 50 other websites in the past, it's been many years since I was involved in a major project and have let my skillset deteriorate to a great degree. The result is that I take a lot longer to get anything done now because there's more trial and error and there's a lot more going back through things I've done in the past to refresh my memory.

Don't worry if photos spread-eagle the site. I will fix it as I find the boo boos.

How's the V-R image posting feature coming along?

As per the above post at the moment. Running into hurdles at every step. It's not the only new feature that isn't working either, unfortunately.
