The longest MW DX I ever caught was a Jesuscaster in Iowa received in New Jersey. But, for the most part, there's too many stations on the air in the USA that it effectively limits really long distance DX. Are there any frequencies on the Aussie MW band used by only one station nationwide?

There are quite a few going by

But there are stations that are listed twice eg 6DL being the first. These seem to have the same licence number but different geographical locations - maybe main and back-up transmitters.

I have always assumed 576 ABC is a weaker transmission than ABC 702, but according to the list both are 50k watts.

...and gives daylight reception at full loud speaker strength 300 miles from Perth. Thirty Eastern States stations can be logged.

Here in SW Sydney 2BL (702) is the strongest, but out at Mittagong 2FC (576) is the strongest, by a considerable margin. While there I tried listening to 630 News Radio during the night and there's no problem at all, strong and no interference.

I also listened to 909 which seems to be an unused frequency, and I could hear a piano concerto for a time but it eventually faded out. There's no classical AM stations in Australia (afaik), so I guess it's in NZ. This was on my little Airzone 4-valve set that is next to my bed... it has excellent selectivity.
