Photos can be helpful, but letting us know the valve types in it can be even more help useful in identifying a chassis.

I'm not 100% sure, but this radio could be an early post-war Music Masters - say 1945 or 1946.

A lot of different brands of console radio's of that era came in this style, though it does look pretty close to the one on the ad.
The only valves I can identify from the pics are the Australian made Philips Gold Series EL3NG & EBF2GT.

Thanks for uploading the pics and the replies, does have Music Masters on the unfortunately broken glass front panel. Will try post info on the valves very shortly. Thanks again.

Music Masters is a Queensland based radio manufacturer So there is your Brand. I am guessing it to be Made around the mid forties .

Dear Wolfsden - if as you say you have no idea, then a good starting point is DON'T plug it in!
You (or someone on your behalf!) will need to at least (if it's original) re-cap the set, check the resistors, pots, switches and tuning dial, etc, replace the power cord and bring it up slowly on a variac. A pity the tuner dial is broken - the rest could respond to restoration, tho.
I have one with similar chassis but different cabinet, and have found it difficult to find an accurate circuit diagram. Once they're up and running, they can be modified to play wi-fi, etc.
Let us know how it goes. Cheers, Alan.
