There is a quite good photo on Radiomuseum, showing the finish. My feeling it that it is brown with a fine crackle.

Thanks Harold,
The one I have looks to be crinkle finish ,the colour has faded with age but I thought it could have beeb brown, I downloaded a photo of the one on Radio Museum site , I will see if I can get a matched colour of the brown it would be a dark brown I would imagine.
Regards Dave.

Hi Dave.

From looking around the web, there seems to be variations on the brown mine is finished in.
Yes, it's a "crinkle" finish, and mine is a chocolate brown.

I haven't verified this but apparently the case is all copper. Now I know the purists would have appoplexy, but could you imagine it finished in its natural polished copper? With all the chrome?

By the way, I bought mine about 30 years ago as a working radio. It has worked ever since. Now being one of my "garage" radios.

Works great and I am surprised at the frequency response of "an old AM radio".

Mine is original, and is a chocolate brown crinkle finish.
I brought it for $5.00 years ago, did nothing to it and it goes like new.
A good performer.
