 Help needed to identify switch assembly.

Can anyone tell me for what this new old stock switch assembly was intended?
It appears to be imperial, and there are no markings on it at all.

Can't immediately identify the source of that particular unit but, prior to solid state switching, such banks of interlocked latching push buttons were common on a wide variety of equipment and appliances.
