One advantage of StarTrack is that it can and will deliver to PO Boxes. AusPost will not allow any other courier company to do that, I guess because it cannot charge to handle the delivery. So, if a seller insists on using a courier, it suits me that they use StarTrack but only if the seller also agrees to deliver to a PO box, and there are plenty who insist on delivery to a street address only.

It will be interesting to see if Mail Call will also now deliver to PO Boxes.

The only reason I sometimes allow parcels to come to where I work is so that the driver cannot claim that no-one was available to sign for it. We have a large loading dock, so most of the large carriers come to the site anyway. Apart from that I won't deal with anyone that refuses to deliver via the post. I definitely don't want $1,000 radios left at the front door to be kicked about.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
