Yep, sensible and sensitive resto of the outside.
But us engineers look forward to the work on the chassis.
Great engineering work on creating the knobs, thats what I like to see.
Do have any pics of the chassis work?
that's where the real engineering is!

Fred,
the chassis doesn't look as good as the outside. It was filthy and very rusty in places. I gave it a good clean and removed what rust I could get at. The underside is better than it was, but some of the untidy work done during the conversion to 240V in 1965 remains. I'll see if I have a photo for you.

Re the inside photos #93.

Nice! That is all you can do without going mad.
Good clean up of the topside, nice and original with original ARTSNP label.
Under neath looks fine with replacement parts wired in, gland on power cable good stuff.

no point in going for a 100% resto, then you have to strip back to bare chassis, restore plated finish, refinish all the coin cans and gang and so on.
It was not a Rolls Royce when it was new!
Looks great to me.
