Apart from the recycler's; Try an Industrial Bearing supplier.

This is an area where council cleanup piles may still yield results. We are in an era where people seem to be throwing 1960's radiograms out by the dozen as they aren't fetching any money by sale or auction.

From these, valves, knobs, tuning dials and record turntables can be ratted although I wouldn't recommend doing this at the kerbside as nothing is more grating than having a neat pile made messy by a scavenger.

When I want something off a pile, unless I can grab it in a few seconds I go to the door and ask, at the same time offering a guarantee that the state of the pile won't look any worse.

Typical tools to take would be side cutters, a medium straight screwdriver and a small shifter.
