I also note that USA has stuffed up with their new warships which are over 700ton too heavy. and China can build 22.5 million ton PA compared to 100, 000 for America. The world is falling apart.

I read that article. The issues didn't seem to get identified so it may just be one of those things associated with shipbuilding. Are the Americans trying to cram too many weapon systems on board or did the Italian designers mess up their calculations? In the case of Australia's Hunter-class frigates they are heavier than our destroyers, which is unusual, but not necessarily a deal breaker. A frigate's primary role in a naval battle is to hunt for enemy submarines and make sure they cannot come to the surface again. If the Constellation-class ships can do that then all good.

China's ability to build more ships comes down to one thing - and western nations cannot surpass it - slave labour and lots of it. The US has the world's third largest population but it is a very distant third place.

The only person that read China and was ignored, was Horatio Lord Nelson.

His comment was along the lines "That if you awoke the Dragon: The world would tremble.

This is the second time I posted this: It locked up and obviously never sent..

That was around 14:00 and the site refused to load thereafter. at 16:15 it did load.

It wasn't helped by the UK's egregious and degrading treatment of China in the 19th century.

The Chinese have long memories.

And Nelson was far sighted in his prediction of the consequences. History will judge him as correct.
