Just evicted a Philips LX405T series. It had battery damage. I did try to resurrect its lower board but as I had one with a different case & a bit of hacking, I ended up swatting its board. Its a really good performer.

Is that an early 60's radio?
Regards Jimb

According to the owner he bought it in Wangaratta in around 1958 after he arrived from Italy & went Tobacco farming, in the King Valley.

The service sheet rather adds provenance as it is 1962 and says on it, that its a reprint. As before, the fact that there are two different cabinets with the same number on the PC board, suggests to me a long production run.

I did take before & after shots of the eaten wood & the repair.
