I've taken more detailed photos of the monument outside the house. It is interesting to note that the house is currently being renovated. I saw several tradesmen on site and it appears that the exterior has just been painted. It looks quite good and it's good to know that a home of such historical importance is being looked after well.

Satellite photos aren't close enough to see if the footing for the former mast is still visible.

Well spotted Robert! Yes the flags are too big and would have been the size of the front windows on the house if the scale was correct. So the mast was not as high as the tree in the background.

From the State Library link posted by GTC I did a quick search and found a listing for a Fisk/AWA file that apparently covers early radio comms UK/Sydney from 1918 to 1924. My wife has another Sydney treatment trip pending so I might see if I can get to the Library while she is in hospital.
