Gtc, I just looked it up and some look very different than that link.
So I would say it was a Lace with the different shape head.

Had several experiences with goannas, lizards whatever they are ... whilst camping at Fraser Island. On bushwalks, they would scramble up trees when we walked by ..... and at night, they rummaged around in an unsealed part of our tent .... I wasn't brave enough to unzip the tent flap ..... big footprints everywhere next morning.

We got into the habit of always 'smoothing' out the ground around the tent before going sleeping/bushwalking etc .... so that we could determine what had been investigating whilst we were away ...... Smile
