A bit of cross referencing needed. The odd one out is the 2nd AF, 12A The rest are 01A all are 5V . 0.25A, so that needs a welding transformer: So we have..............

"A" 5V and it's DC wired the right way.

"C" 9V

"B" 135V OP; 67V Amps: 45V (that's the max) for the detector.

The last time I needed B+ like that I used LR8's well decoupled from a common B+ (they will take 450VDC) and will lock up on overload. Shunt with TIP 50.

Franks Electron tube pages may help?

Thank you very much Ian I would want those mods done . I really want to have this set going 100 % and will have this set up by my bed so I can use a nice set of old headphones on it listening to my favourite station 2CA here in Canberra. I am going to have the case professionally done as well.

Wow, looking at it I thought the case was done! Mind you now with my glasses on.. Well yours is two years older than my old RCA Radiola! That would look good with one of those old horn speakers?

I have had the time to look through The radiolaguy website and wow he goes to a lot of detail with the bits and pieces we can buy to do these old girls up. Reprinted owners manuals , sales brochures and service manuals . I will set up a nice little display with this one.
