The Labor Party ownership of the ABC goes back well before Whitlam got sacked.

Company I used to work for (no longer in existence IHTA) had a contract to service TVs that were provided as perks for certain high-up ABC luminaries and Labor Party politicians. Reason given was so employees could report on any technical issues (such as wrong black level - TVs were HMVs).

A certain govt minister had a colour TV provided by the ABC in his home a couple of years prior to the official switch-over to colour. (I know, I serviced it!). This TV had been fitted with chroma-lock by the ABC technical services dept so his family could watch colour from ostensibly B&W transmissions. Worked pretty well too.

I also observed about the same time a certain union leader being regularly chauffeur-driven in a Rolls-Royce from an ABC office car park. Would that the "workers" could have seen that!

ABC Newsradio regularly runs a self-promo filler that claims they are "without bias or agenda"! LOL!!

Newsradio used to run a political "Fact Checker" segment. That got pulled because it often made the Labor Party look bad.....

I could go on but it would literally be Ad Nauseum.....
