It's not radio, but closely related, it is Military so I trust this is a suitable forum.

I have recently restored what appears to be a WW2 code practice set that I am seeking information on, especially any details of the correct battery. I have been unsuccessful in web searches, so any information at all would be welcome.

It is branded D^D so I know it's military.
The key is branded PMG 1942 Key WT 8 Amp No 2.
The Buzzer is branded Buzzer T MK 1, STC 1942

The wiring was DCC which I was unable to find any suitable replacement for, so it's currently done in genuine Telstra jumper wire (thanks to a very helpful Telstra Tech) and the slots in which the wire runs were originally filled with beeswax or something very similar, but unfortunately I forgot to take any before pictures.

I have replaced the battery with three C cells hiding in a 1920's C battery case which appears to be almost the correct size.

Photos uploaded.

Just to confirm, if the set is DoD, it's relevant to this forum. Smile
