My father was a pioneering electrical engineer for AWA TVs in Sydney in the late 50s and early 60s. In cleaning up his house I found a large number of technical information and service manuals for early TVs. These contain circuit diagrams, socket voltages alignment procedures etc. probably 20 to 30 manuals.
The powerhouse museum is not interested. I was hoping there may be a group who could take these, scan them and make available to those who may be interested.

Thanks for thinking of vintage TV enthusiasts in dealing with your father's TV heritage. A lot of such information is on line at Kevin Chant's site:

Any extra information to this site would be welcome. Other members would be more able to comment on specific detail if you choose to list it here.

Yes I have found entities such as the Powerhouse singularly unhelpful in this regard.
Since I have an AWA 209C in my collection and another that uses the same chassis, I'd be interested in that manual at least and I could scan them for other users.
A list of the models covered would be useful.
My email is un-hidden.

Re Powerhouse. I have a relative now passed who was a carriage builder in timber who bought old tools for his trade from his apprenticeship and had all the specialised planes, spokeshaves, drills, every sort and size of Diston saw and Stanley plane etc for doing that specialised joinery going way back to the mid 19th century. He died in his eighties and would buy tools up to a few years short of that, and restore and conserve them. He had a garage full of this equipment, all just for his pleasure. Powerhouse did not even come and look at it.
Perhaps as a museum they have criteria for their collection precluding anything not in original condition, or else have it all anyway. I mentioned this collection many years ago to The Little Boat Shed in Tasmania when I was down there because it struck me that they may use much the same tools - they weren't interested either, having walls of tools already.
All disposed of with his estate, so too late now.

Yes with any such collection, it helps to produce an index of the makes and models covered.

And thank you Michael, the scan is good.
Great to have detailed info on the tuner, this one has Issues. Prior to this all I had was the schematic.
There was a difference in the chassis around the hor yoke centre tap network. I had some scalloping of the LHS of the raster, although the parts that were in there were original, changing it to what's in the schematic eliminated the scalloping.

I can see that Kevin Chant has done a great job of scanning and publishing all the old AWA technical manuals. Someone asked for the model numbers - there appears to be every model number and variation form about 201 to 221. AS a nice touch there is also some photos of the sets.
Ps. This site does not appear to allow login with Safari 15.6.1 and Mac OS 10.15.7 (vintage Apple - ha ha), but will work with Google Chrome.
