New member today - and I have a question: I am an Aussie living on the other side of the world at the moment (husband's work) I am a blogger too, and on one of my blogs, pickledgizzards.com I write a sort of food+memoire combo.
A post I'm working on mentions the wonderful old AWA mantel radio we always had in the house - unfortunately long gone as we wound up Mum's house c. 35 years ago - and googling around I found a picture of exactly what I remember we had - and I'd like to use that image in my blog with copyright permission - I have come across the copyright warning message but can't find out where to send a message to anyone who might be able to grant this. There is a link beneath the image but it takes me to an error page. I've got a feeling no one's going to get excited about me using it on my non-commercial blog, but I've been bitten once by Getty Images and am pretty wary!
Guidance someone? Brad? Cheers - Alison

G'day Alison,

Does the image link you clicked lead to this site? If it does I should be able to fix the link and point the way for you to contact the owner of the image.

Feel free to post the image link here.

We probably need to identify what it was. If we can we may have a photo of one & can avoid the hassle.

There is a link beneath the image but it takes me to an error page.

A while back this forum was moved to a different host and that has invalidated old links floating about on the Internet. As Brad has indicated above, he can fix that if he is given the link in question.

The radio in question is a battery powered 1946 AWA model 608T.

Model 607T is the mains (AC) powered version in the same case.
