I have the above pick up head the suspension rubbers have perished. I have severe shakes and I am unable to replace the existing rubbers. Is there anyone out there, that has repaired these that can give me a quote to repair this? If it dies during surgery no harm done.
I am trying to finish off some projects before I reluctantly hang up my soldering iron.
Kind regards Jimb.

WA based member Viccadillac who, IIRC, restores grams and jukeboxes may be able to help. I'll let him know about this thread.
Sorry to hear about your disability. Most of us fall apart eventually, usually by degrees.

Thank you, GTC. That will be helpful.
I am basically ok apart from the shakes, not all that old, 72 next month however I can no longer do a good solder joint or fine assembly work.
I have been techo all my working life and it is frustrating. Some bright spark named it an essential tremor. I can't say I have found it essential at all. Over the last few years it has increased. I am sure as you pointed out many on this forum are coping with various issues leading up to oldcodgertitis.
Regards Jim.

My main gripe at the moment is that it is becoming more apparent that I need to wear glasses to do more things, ahhh and some Arthur Rightus due to using a computer and meese for the last thirty-odd years, and the beltings I got at school before that.

Many of us find that our arms are not long enough and need reading glasses by 45. I am long sighted which is fine for reading street signs in the distance, etc, but a damn nuisance when working at close quarters. My reading glasses are in and out of my shirt pocket dozens of times a day.

I am more middle distance, requiring glasses for close up and also far away but I lack glasses for the latter.

The head mounted magnifier like a tennis shade Is also a big help as you can wear the corrected glasses with them and maintain depth of field. The addition of the LED light assy actually does not make things lighter.

Aka the loupe. I have a couple but mine are not as good as the ones that surgeons use.

My late mum used to call it "creeping decrepitude".
She made it to 98 though.

Jimb !!
If you are referring to the Nylon plug in the Tone Arm where the Head 3 pin plug connects and is supported by the tone Arm.
Im happy to post you one if its a Rc 121? But it was the same plug on the early model aswell.
The Rc is my favourite and I have many bits for them.
Just email me your address and I will have that in Mondays post.
No charge, hope you are feeling better, Pete
Oh I have read your post wrong, you need a 78 head? Or one repaired?
I have 78 heads if you need it
