Can anyone identify this 5 pin plug which I thought were pretty common. There were 4 pin plugs of the same type.
Usually used for speaker or battery connections and other sundry tasks.
Looked up the Jaycar catalogue and they don't seem to be listed. Like to know of any other suppliers.
Thanks for any guidance.

The best source of this type of plug is a smashed up 1950s/60s radiogram on a cleanup pile. They were used on these to connect the stylus to the amplifier.

Thanks Brad for your help with this. These sorts of plugs were about at electronics suppliers and have some new 3 pin versions.
Seems they have fallen out of favour and no longer about which is a pity as they were handy for various projects.
Will keep looking around but so far no success.
Cheers

They were made by McMurdo..... I know this as that's what is on the three brand new plug & sockets I have.
Diameter of the socket spigot that sits flush with (through) the panel 0.6" (15.3mm). How does that compare?

Correct, and they are now as rare as hen's teeth. The last (4 pin) McMurdo plug and socket I obtained was from a donor set.

I grabbed these on sight somewhere ages ago, so all I had to do this time was look in the right draw.

Thanks for all the comments, remember now, McMurdo. A quick google reveals nothing unfortunately so it seems these have disappeared from circulation.
They were once common and sold everywhere. A quite useful connector for various projects.
Wish I had the foresight to get a bag of the things when they were still available.
Cheers
