Hi,
I'm currently working on restoring a 1937 Essay Bantum 4 valve receiver model number 8B. Would anyone by chance have a circuit diagram or know where I might obtain one?
Kind regards, Sam

I think you mean Essanay Bantam.

There are a few ads here & there on Trove for a Essanay Bantam.

The HRSA model list shows a Essanay Bantam 8B from 1937. The valve line-up is:- EK2, EBF1, EL3N & EZ2.
I.F. 455 kHz.

Thanks for your help. I also checked the above sites as well as the Australian official radio service manual : circuit book of standard Australian Receivers which is available in the reference section of the Hobart State Library with no luck. I did find circuit diagrams for a couple of other receivers in my collection which will be handy.
Regards, Sam

Hell Samt

I thought I had something like this in my paperwork, found it at last. But it is a very rough hand drawing I picked up amongst other stuff at a garage sale. But it says Bandmaster and has the right valve lineup

Will redraw and let you know when to open up your email.

Got this drawn up at last. The drawing was on old brittle paper in pencil with only valve pin numbers at the valve connections. So took a while to work it out.
Has component values written in, with higher presumably measured resistor values in brackets which are included. Lay-out much as the original had it to avoid errors.
If you open your email will pass on.

I have received the diagram. Thanks again for all the effort re drawing it. It will be very usefull as the essanay I have has been serviced several times over the years and I wanted to check the original component values of the parts that have been replaced over the years. Kind regards, Sam
