From memory (and it was a few years ago I saw this one) the louvres were pretty much the same size & one could be lucky and get a louvre that can be swapped into the existing case, making one good one.
The one that I refurbished, did not have broken louvres. Putting in the "anti rattle" washers, means that excessive tension on the bolts is not then required. and they can be used to compensate for a bit of warping.

I will check it out again tonight. The case dosnt look warped and looks completly origional. The chassis is a mess. I will set up my camera on the tripod and take some photos of the little beast.
Thanks to all for your comments so far.......

Its setup for the 6x5. I havn't taken any photos as it is a complete shambles. all the caps have deteriated and I can make out some of the resistors.
I have re checked the power transformer. It is stuffed. I messed up when I origionally tested it. One side of the HT O/C. There is only a 6v winding and the ht for the secondary so it is ment to have the 6x5.
The speaker is a perm mag type and there is a HT choke mounted under the chassis.
The more I look into this set the more I understand why no one wanted it. At least the case looks good!

Okay, so be on the lookout for a Beehive with a wrecked case (I've seen them at swap meets, etc) and my guess is that you're likely to be way ahead with its chassis. And with some luck you'll also gain a complete Kriesler badge into the bargain.

I would consider that with the amount of damage repair is not cost effective, but there are salvage parts in it.
There are a couple of contacts here I can try & a Club member here has recently died..... Until we stocktake everything, we will not know what he has, but there is quite a bit, not only radio & it will be for sale.

Thanks for your help Guys. I think I will scrap the chassis keeping the DW coil assy and the IF Transformers in hope to find a complete radio chassis in a busted case.
Guess I might as well put a Wanted add for a chassis and Badge!
If all else fails and I find that I have "spare time" on my hands, I might try and strip the chassis, repaint or coat the chassis and rebuild a new cct for it. I know it won’t be an original but neither is a chassis from another radio. Sometimes I think having it as a functional valve radio makes it worth more, well worth more to me and that’s what counts!
