In continuing the story, I finish off the wiring and fettle the tuning and IF circuits so they work.
I find out a bit more about winding coils and using a high gain valve in the IF stage.
There were constructor errors, a faulty valve (I think) and various problems to over come before the set worked well.

The circuit is a bit different from the first in this second fix.

Any comments are welcome.
