Hi folks, I'm no collector as such just very curious about a portable radio I aquired some years back and would like to know if anyone knows how old it might be. From what I can tell the brand is AGE, (fancy lettering) model number N75DA (last 2 letters indistinct). It is a fairly large unit with a handle and crocadile skin exteriour. 2 of the valves inside are T4 and R5. The front has a flip up cover with the dial display showing Australian states. Batteries are long gone but there is a note to list were 3 batteries went, 2 Everready number 482, 1 x 745 and a 276P. Short of posting an image there you have it...(: I tried a Google but with a brand name AGE I went round in circles!

Any help apreciated.
Cheers
Garry

If you'd like photos included in your post you can e-mail them to Brad.mail.vintage-radio.com.au.

AGE stood for The Australian General Electric Company and their radios were made by AWA.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...
