Marshman musicmaster radios were manufactured by the Arbee Supply Co. Bacchus Marsh Vic. from about 1945 till 1949. the founder of the company was Robert Butler (know to all as Bob) hence the name Arbee. Arbee stopped manufacturing when radios became more readily available from major manufcacturers, Arbee became agents for STC and eventualy sold and serviced the whole range of thier products including Televisions.
Getting back to Marshman radios I believe there were 3 basic types a 4 valve reflex, a 5 valve MW and 5 valve MW and SW. The 4 valve set came in 2 styles, a timber case and leatherette case.
Technically the radios were of pretty basic design and should not present to many problems to the restorer, it would be advisable to change all the electrolytic and paper caps. and check the resistor values, the IF freq. 455kHz.
Hope this helps
Regards Phil
