Re: the knobs. My radio is missing its original knobs, and the replacements have grub screws. Normally if there's no screw the knob can simply be pulled off. But I don't think that was a thing back then. Have a really close look is all I can suggest.

On my radiola, restored several years ago, the centre knobs have grub screws.

Outer knobs pull off.

Please excuse the black speaker cloth as radio was given to daughter and she wanted black to suit her decor. Plus bluetooth. All done and used.

Should have been the pleated pinkish AWA colour.

Note re speaker. Technically according to the circuit & Radio Museum & the look of it; Its electrodynamic.

Do not power the radio with the speaker unplugged
