It is a shame that consoles need to be given away but I suppose the main issue is space. Being a console owner, I can attest to that and even in a three bedroom house, it can be difficult.

A valve a day keeps the transistor away...

Going by the complete and utter lack of interest in consoles shown at Sydney HRSA auctions for the last few years, I think he'll have difficulty getting someone to take them away. If it were another state/city maybe a different story.

Looks like a table radio behind the Radiola on the right.

The one closest to the camera is of no use at all - too big, and damaged.

If I wasn't incapacitated by sciatica at the moment, and had a larger vehicle, I'd be tempted to make the drive all the way over to there, even if it was to just use them as a source of spare parts.

I am about to send this link to a friend in Sydney that wants a shortwave console.

Should be interesting. The Radiola appears to have a magic eye (that tiny lump on the top) and I believe would have shortwave.

The one on the left (in front of the car) would be interesting to me as I haven't seen anything like it.

I do wonder what the table radio is though. There's something familiar about it.

Robbert the one on the left in front of the car is a philips with the hinged up dial. A very nice performer I would say.

It was posted by Admin on that forum. I've PM'ed him asking for the seller's contact details. Heck, it may be Dave Jones himself.

Darn, oh well. Thanks for finding out.

I would have replied hours ago but the forum has been freezing on me almost all day.

I found that the site where my avatar was hosted was down. I don't know if that could cause page loading issues here, while you wait for the connection to time out. So I removed my avatar to remove that possibility.

I note that the tendency to hang manifested a few minutes ago. It seems to be more prevalent with Edge than Firefox. Whatever it is it can only be cleared by re-boot which makes me wonder if its a feral file being introduced and tripping things up.
