Interesting, though the shipping will double the price.
Wonder if it would work? Hopefully it comes with a chassis - there's none shown there.

Hopefully it comes with a chassis
Doesn't appear to, but it does come with cattle: "With cattle: Shanghai Radio 27 Factory CB-3.5W-80 type output cattle, DB-50-300 type power cattle."
Getting them past AQIS may be a tad difficult.

Might be why the shipping is so high... at least we might get a few steaks out of it.

For a enthusiastic builder might be a goer. 8 valve radio with genuine valve power supply, not just cheap diodes.
Would have to supply your own chassis of course.

They seem to have some other interesting stuff, e.g. a valve FM tuner.

With Cows and Cattles provided how could you go wrong!!!
No mention of Horses or Sheep. though, dissapointing.
I would not trust those valves to last any time, I recognise some of them as the same rubbish sent as samples and used in the amazing 30+30 watt valve amplifier sold at Jaycar.
Hey somebody buy one for me and I'll put it together!
What could possibly go wrong?
Fred.

No mention of Horses or Sheep. though, disappointing
Not to mention lack of specs ... but hey who needs those?
I would not trust those valves to last any time
I guess you mean the piping.
"Piping: 6A2, 6K4, 6H2, 6N2, 6P1, 6Z4, 6E2"

Chinese valves... well we know the story with them...
hmm, hadn't noticed the rest of the page, with the schematic, wiring and so on.
It's got 3 bands, so MW, and 2.3 to 18MHz.
Who is going to build this?
Some of those other valve projects look interesting too.

Ah yes the piping, meaning valves..........the auto translator went a bit crook there.
I see what the problem is, the auto translator has a phase shift error!
My offer is there, somebody buy me one and I'll put it together.
(not going to waste my money!)
Fred.

It would be a case you buyee you fixee. Still for a $151 bucks for a three band radio kit radio is not an outrageous price.
For an enthusiast with chassis making skills it may be a worth while project if prepared to take a chance.

Cattle; possibly refers to it being found out that its a cow of a thing to put together, or operate?

Cattle are livestock, and valves are perhaps the closest thing to livestock in a radio. Maybe that is the connection.

You could actually build this on a existing spare chassis. I'm sure most of us have one!

Actually aside from the collection of scrap radios, I still have chassis punches for the round IF's & sockets.
