The fruit of knowledge !
When I lived in Dee why there was a fruit tree in the yard which has the nic name the fruit of knowledge. It's a particular type of grapefruit.
I had a visitor that wanted to try it,I told her they are the most vile sourer thing known to man.
But she still tried it and found out the hard way I've never eaten one and never will.
Odd looking grapefruit !

I wore a mask in Woolworths this arvo, given that there was a known coronavirus case visit the store (Crows Nest, NSW) last week. Maybe some people know something that I don't but I did note that this store was not shut down for a deep clean. Odd, thugh I imagine it would not be as simple a task as deep cleaning some office space.

I do wonder what that comprises in terms of supermarkets. There are (normally) so many items on the shelves that can be touched or coughed on, not to mention fruit and veg.

I wore a mask at Woolworths this morning, although it was a bushfire mask rather than a medical one.

Masks are now compulsory here in Vic. How one stops C_19 in areas that have none is interesting. A rabbit proof fence like they put along the WA border around Melbourne would have solved a lot of problems: Which WA doesn't have.
Anyway, I took off shopping with a mask and a whole lot of trepidation. That went totally to plan as within 45 minutes of putting on the mask the dodgy lungs were in trouble. Next Plan B.

If you have a bona fide medical condition that prevents you from wearing a mask you are allowed to wear a plastic face shield.
Bunnings sell them for 3 bucks a pop.
And for rest of the country, I strongly recommend masking up where social distancing is not possible.

There are two industrial here, as well as industrial masks one wears the masks as long as can be tolerated, with the mowers & tractor slashers as the face shields cant stop that. 2 hrs is about the limit for P2.
Shields are good on the lathe, mixing nasty stuff, overhead chain-sawing, grinding & other little bits of treachery that throw things at your face.
This is one place where PPE is not ignored. I was and OH&S person & on safety committees. I have been dealing with this issue since the late 70's when the system got damaged the first time.

Yep!. Same chemical different location different idiot. First was a drop of rust laden water dropping into a drum of Hydros with no lid & it "Roman Candled". Second was when I told the ignoramus that if he put Hydros into the machine at around 80 degrees, he would not be able to control it.
So he did that, it took of faster than C-19, so immediate panic and opened the machines dump valve, releasing still reacting Hydros into the factories open drains. The gas produced is nasty.

Went to the pathology department at the hospital today for my annual blood test. I rang first and asked if there were any special conditions due to the virus. Woman on phone said no. So I get there and they shoot my forehead with a temperature gun, stick a red dot on my shirt, and hand me a mask.
First time I've used a mask and I can see why some people don't like wearing them. My preference is to avoid places where there are lots of people. I am still not ready to use buses and trains.
