Controversial Kleenex wipes are 'flushable', appeal court rules
QUOTE: The ACCC lodged an appeal, arguing that the court should have found the products were not suitable for flushing because they posed a "real risk of harm" to sewerage systems.
The Full Federal Court – Justices Nye Perram, Bernard Murphy and Thomas Thawley – rejected this argument and upheld the original decision.
...
Sydney Water's head of customer hub, Darren Cash, said the decision was "disappointing" and "the fact is that wet wipes ... wreak havoc in our pipes".
"Even though wet wipes might state that they are flushable on their packaging, the reality is that they don’t break down and cause blockages in Sydney Water’s wastewater pipes, and our customers’ plumbing as a result."
He said "only the three Ps" – human waste and toilet paper – could be flushed, and other products should be binned.
Clearly, the Full Federal Court comprises a triumvirate of twits.

Anybody who believes that the Australian justice system is just and righteous is either naive or has never had any experience with the Australian courts. Particularly the Federal magistrates Court.
It's decisions are based on stopping appeals and appeals cost big bucks to run and the judge needs to answer his judgement to a group of judges, if there was an appeal, so
the side with the money wins so the chance of a appeal is far less...
Theres talk about them doing away with the FMC and bringing in a different system, but don't hold ya breath ,these old judges are not about to give up their seat of ego just yet
Honestly you hear of terrible wrong decisions the FMC regularly

The bottom line is that there isn't a beak who was a plumber prior to getting into law. The same lot (but in a different court) let the rabid jobless gits loose on Sydney's streets two weeks ago, with the potential to spread the coronavirus around and holding the trams and buses up in the process.
Any sensible person wanting something to go a specific way can be guaranteed that they will find a beak who will think differently. If the bastards got off the sauce and started to think about the impact of their decisions then the world would be a better place.

Pete.
I feel you made an error in your post. You referred to the "Australian Justice System."
I think you meant to say, the "Australian Legal System."
A similar error is when people refer to accidents instead of crashes. Cars and aeroplanes do not accident, they crash.

No I don't think I did, because the topic was on " justice" or it not being just., Either way I won't be losing sleep about it.

The system consisting of laws is the Judicial system.
Justice is what some of these out of touch judges rarely deliver & that which people often don't get, nor see delivered.
