Things I noted in Toongabbie.
Most people with brains now wear gloves and a spit mask.
Stupid old Australians still walking around smoking and coughing barehanded.
They are the ones who are going to die.
Went to Woolies at 7:30, no queue, bouncer waved through.
Face mask and disposable gloves on.
Still not putting any dunny rolls or paper towels on shelves, got normal bread, meat and milk.
Empty checkout, straight through.
(Tried to log on to Woollies service delivery for old folk, kept crashing did not believe my password, got jack of it.)
Chemist straight in, normal service selling masks and tissues.
We have to achieve 80% seperation to stop virus, not 50% like we have now.
Cancelled all family functions, use Skype or SMS.
Deferred some medical check ups (not going to go to Westmead Corona Central to pad out specialist profits).
Now that stupid goverment has let thousands of passengers off corona airlines and corona cruises, passing coffe shop heard oldie standing in middle of path, ( just off ship of fools) boasting about " government bullshit not stopping him from shopping", I just moved away and I am mad! He is the problem!
Otherwise all good here.
Wear your masks and gloves and remember, carriers dont cough when contagious unlike SARs and goverment has randomly injected corona carriers ANYWHERE in the state, just because you are in a remote town, watch out, the old couple in front of you in queue just got back from 16 days cruise on the Corona Crown!!!!
Eeeeeeeeeeeek!
Fred.

I read that Bunnings has now put purchasing limits on 'panic' items, including metho and turps. Metho is understandable but turps?

Yep. They are the equivalent of looters and should be treated as such.

It's just supply and demand mostly .
I can see there are some robbers charging huge amounts of money ,but only a fool would buy it
It's no different from second car dealers or false bids or greedy real estate agents
Supply and demand where million have been or lost right through history.
Any fool who pays 500 bucks for loo paper should be on medication.
I remember years ago car dealers would buy a car at the auction ,tack 5000 and sell it
I use to buy furniture for 500 and sell it for 2500. Let's look at LJ Hooker who bought up Sydney sea side property at Time when people were worried about the japs taking over...? So it's a part of life.
The government put massive amounts of taxes on petrol and cigarettes, because they can , supply and demand . They can't do it with other products because people would just live with out those products

Yesterday I finally saw some toilet paper at Woolworths. It was being raided by a bunch of elderly people, limited to 1 pack per person. 5 minutes later it was all gone.

If you want a stupidity indicator? A lot that sends me unsolicited mail on Eco Toilets, has made available a calculator which is a guide to how many toilet rolls one needs, possibly without an outbreak of dysentery.
That is on my Facebook page. You can calculate how long it takes to use a trolley load.
Turps may be psychological & they think people are drinking it; If they can find out what "slops" are they will ban it as well.
Now they have restricted life saving booze: As alcohol kills the virus a lot of people are now going to panic & stress as they consider that they cannot get the bug if they stay pickled.

Guys, so we aren't running all over the place with the discussion about the coronavirus, can I ask that this subject be limited to the threads that are already open on it. There won't be a need to head off in different directions on it. All comments relating to the virus will be considered relevant in the existing threads.

Someone in Albury was fined $1,000 and received a summons for driving whilst disqualified after being stopped by police for not observing the 'stay home' order. His excuse for being on the road was that he was on his way to visit his drug dealer.
Is this bloke on the level? Give him the full six months I say and let him use the time to kick his habit.
