And, didn't the Italians call in the Chinese experts to help out? Look what happened - the death rate went through the roof.
And I'm not at all sure that the Italians will be wanting to pay the particular price for that aid.

So we are implying Chinese help, is similar to Chinese products that don't last long: Use their help & you wont last long?

The only thing that came out of china that did work properly seems to be coronavirus.
I watched this doco about their Wet markets where the trade for wild animals is in demand .
This is where the experts say the virus jumped from animals to humans. You could buy all kinds of rare animals for food and of course no hygiene habits in the market

I went to four supermarkets yesterday after work only to locate a bottle of tomato paste to make spaghetti with. There was one carton quantity of my preferred brand in the fourth supermarket which was Woolworths at Gordon (suburb of Sydney). The second supermarket I went to which was Woolworths at Crows Nest (also a Sydney suburb) had four cans of their generic brand - which was made in China so I threw it back on the shelf and walked out.
Question: Why does Woolworths hate local manufacturing so much that they need to import tomato paste from bloody China, the mob that created the virus problem to begin with? The brand I bought, Leggos, is 100% made here. of course I will travel an extra 15km to buy it.

Exactly! Why ? When we have farms and capable people here that make and produce quality goods and products.
I don't buy any Chinese product and I certainly would not feed my family Chinese food products.
It's getting harder though, Even the milk companies were sold off to the Chinese to investors .

It angers me greatly when I try to buy milk and 90% of the milk on offer is home brand.
The normal branded milk is pushed to the back and is close to it's use by date.
I refuse to buy home brand items in general but particularly milk as the supermarket chains have driven dairies to the wall with many going bust.
If we keep buying home brand pretty soon that's all there will be and they will be able to charge whatever they like for it.

I have always avoided supermarket generics other than for stuff like salt and disinfectant.

That is pretty much correct. Although they did well when contaminating their milk with melamine too.

Notice there has been hardly a boo from Russia regarding coronavirus.
Normally if there are big world issues going on they are throwing their 2 bobs worth in.
Yet on the news there is no real mention.
Russia is right at China's back door !
I saw one article where it said it was all under control in Russia.
Perhaps it's way out of control in terms of infections .... So they say very little.

We need to STOP exporting ANYTHING from this country.
Do not IMPORT anything either.
So, we will have higher prices due to loss of "scales of economy".
So what!
Forget about world trade, its all BS.
There is no base raw material we are short of.
Cue atomic energy, and guess who has the raw materials in spades?
Get rid of petrol cars, all electric, there goes one argument, we do not need oil.
So what else do we need, answer NOTHING.
We have coke, coal, then steel and endless capacity to grow food.
The Marshmellos we have "running" the country need to wake up real fast.
Fred.

And most of those deaths, because we manufacture virtually nothing here that could be used to control it.
Naturally when we get to Christmas, we are going to start to reap the Virus side effects: The female specific "Egyptian Flu"; Which takes around nine months to peak & the women that get it all end up being mummies.

Found this item when researching an entirely different topic:
QUOTE: In December 1973, [Johnny] Carson joked on Tonight about an alleged shortage of toilet paper. Viewers believed the story and panic buying and hoarding ensued across the United States as consumers emptied stores, causing a real shortage that lasted for weeks. Stores and toilet paper manufacturers had to ration supplies until the panic ended. Carson apologised in January 1974 for the incident, which became what The New York Times called a "classic study" of how rumors spread. Carson successfully sued a manufacturer of portable toilets that wanted to call its product "Here's Johnny".
