He knows how to play a keyboard, that's for sure.
I mentioned Down Under by Men At Work before. The same four chords seem to fit into another song which was written (around the same time as Down Under) specifically for the 1983 America's Cup - We're Coming to Get You by Glenn Shorrock.

Yep Brad, studiers of music that know music structure well and have good memories can tell you what part of music or a phrase crops up time and time again in pop music and the derivation. Most pop music listeners have never heard any major pieces or even writings from the last 100 years so swoon when some brain dead blond starts squarking away with a bunch of musos that roll their eyes and get paid for rehashing Mozart or Gershwin!
Pete, H Chapin was a wonderful story teller and vocalist, he really communicated about his life. Could not sing a note, just like Sinatra, off key, dreadful timing, but glorious vocal ability and told the story so well. Wish I could sing or play even the piano.................

There's a chap named Rick Beato who is a music critic and has a Youtube channel.
One of his video's is called "The four chords that killed pop music"
Well worth watching as he demonstrates the chords and gives examples of them in use.

So, to get this back up to date, cross 2CH off the list, it's useless.
2UE is now the major oldies music station in Sydney.
Cross 999 (2ST) off, it shut down and went to FM.
918 is now occupied by 4VL Charleville and they play music.
Current known empty frequencies: 783, 909, 999
The local FM station Vintage FM had to close down the Penrith transmitter on 87.8 due to costs, and now only uses 88.7 (Camden) - they are trying to get listeners to use the online service, but of course that doesn't work in the car. Before they were on FM I first heard them on 3210 kHz with good strength.

The rollout of digital radio has been super slow and is still confined largely to the capital cities. Because of this, the programme (if there even is one) to scrap analogue AM and FM transmissions is still at least ten years away and I'd feel comfortable suggesting longer, given that there was an overlap of 20 years for digital television.
In the meantime, 2CH is still on the air but due to a daft decision by its current owner, it is digital-only. To play it on a valve radio, you will need an AM transmitter and there's plenty of kits and built-up models available.

There is only 1080 6IX in Perth & Peel Region of WA. Apparently 6IX has an application into move to FM only.
Its a different story in regional WA there are several music stations on AM.
