On Saturday, 4th July, 2015 there will be some site maintenance carried out. This will take place between 08:00 and 12:00 and at times the discussion forums will not be available.

At the same time the host server will receive operating system updates and security patches and a small hardware upgrade will also be carried out. Again, this will involve some disruption to site access.

It will be best to refrain from posting to the forums during this period or such posts may get lost in cyberspace. An announcement will be placed here once all work is complete.

Update: Work scheduled for today has been completed.

No worries, I'll likely be getting drunk on the 4th of July celebrating freedom and my country's independence. Smile

Sounds like a good plan. Smile

Test post to see if this will clear the persistent: "You have unread front page forum posts."

... and it does.

Brad, there's a bug here that forces me to reply to any new post before the above message clears.

I couldn't replicate that last time you reported it. Does this happen with anyone else?

I'll have a look at 'the works' during the site downtime and see if I can spot anything.

Seems it only happens when there's a new thread here.

If I only read it the flag stays on permanently. If I comment in it, the flag then starts to work correctly, that is it comes and goes with new posts within the thread, as expected.

It clears okay for me. I think my tablet uses Safari.
